For a great holiday in Corsica, indulge in the beautiful beaches of Calvi.
Calvi beach is as famous for its natural beauty as it is for all the activities that it offers. Bordered on one side by 71 hectares (175 acres) of well-preserved and maintained pine forest, from which the campsite benefits too, and on the other side by a wonderful view of the famous Citadelle of Calvi, its 5km (3 miles) of white sand are well renowned and much appreciated in Corsica.

Aside from that, the water is shallow and very clean. It’s an easy place to go for a swim with the family, even with small children, carefully watched by their parents of course, but also in high-season by a lifeguard at a first-aid post.
Lastly, the town of Calvi decided to improve its magnificent promenade by making it a pedestrian zone with easy access for everyone, including people with reduced mobility.
Les Castors campsite is only 300 metres, just a few minutes walk, from this beautiful beach.
The beautiful beach of Algajola extends between Calvi and Ile Rousse. It is famous in particular for its marine currents which allow lovers of sliding sports to enjoy it. Extensive and easily accessible by the national highway,
without counting on the fact that the parking lot runs along the sand, park your car and go directly to lay your towel!
For lovers of the corners of small paradise known only to a few tourists and less frequented than the big beaches, here are some places that you will need to discover during your stay. Of course, given the richness of the landforms of our coastline, the list is not exhaustive:
Calvi Bay offers a real water playground. The transparent water invites you to go on a sea hike with fins, mask and snorkel. A baptism of diving will be an opportunity to swim among the fish that sail between the red corals of the tip of the Revellata.
Back on the sandy beach, the deckchairs invite you to put your towel down for a sunbath in the middle of the parasols while the children play on the inflatable modules of the ludoparc floating under the watchful eye of the lifeguards.
There are many sailing clubs all along the bay. Fans of thrills have a wide choice: fly-fish, water skiing, wake-board, but also flyboard and overboard, the latest futuristic devices to slide on the water.
To explore the seaside quietly and with the waves, rent a paddle, pedal boat or kayak. Initiation or improvement courses at any age are offered to take to the open sea in boat (optimist, catamaran) or windsurfing.
The marina of Calvi is also the starting point for many excursions and sea trips to the maritime nature reserve of the Scandola and the calanques de Piana.
