Hikes and walks in Haute-Corse

With 250 km of remodelled trails, some amazing walks await you. But each at his own pace, as everyone can enjoy the exceptional landscapes and heritage of Calvi and its surrounding environment.
Hiking: Croix des Autrichiens, coastal trail, Chemin des Douaniers, and of course the mythical beginning of the GR20 trail, Tra Mare e Monti, as well as various loops in Bonifato forest…
At our Corsican campsite in Calvi, you will be in the perfect place to hike around La Balagne.

In the Balagne region

In the region of Balagne, hikers have everything they need to satisfy their hunger for walking and their thirst for discovery in the great outdoors.
Several loops (there and back) are accessible from Calvi, with walking times taking a maximum of seven hours (the Focolara loop), but also shorter trails, such as the Montegrosso loop, that takes two hours.

Hiking for every taste

Whatever your pace, don’t miss the so-called « heritage » trail, that meanders its way through the villages of Lumio, to Occi, via Lavatoggio. It will take you a little less than two hours to walk the 4km of this loop, unless of course you let yourself be tempted by the beautiful landscapes and perspectives that this trail has in store for you; in which case you will need to allow more time. The tourist office offers detailed maps for each trail, sold at 2€ each.
